Final Expense Plan - Over 50+ Life Insurance - How the Policy is Paid
Subject to the terms and conditions outlined under this policy, we will pay the death benefit if:
  • The insured person dies after two years of this policy, or an accidental death as covered under the accidental death condition as laid out in the policy documents.
  • Death that occurs within the first two years will be subject to a refund of premiums.
  • If the insured person dies after two years of this policy and the death is an accidental death, four times the death benefit will be paid out as set out in the policy schedule.

Final Expense Plan - Over 50+ Life Insurance - Policy Exclusions
The basic death benefit will not be paid under the following circumstances:
  • Death that occurs, within 2 years from the effective date or latest reinstatement and is not an accidental death will be subject to no benefit payments. A full refund of premiums will occur.
  • The insured person commits suicide, while sane or insane, within 2 years from the effective date or latest reinstatement.
  • If this policy is declared void due to a material omission, misrepresentation or in the event of fraud.

Please note that, aside from cases of fraud, if the policy is declared void the insured's beneficiary is entitled to a refund of premiums from the effective date of the policy or the date of its latest reinstatement.
